Remember you are not alone. In studies conducted by the CDC about 10 % of women (6.1 million) in the United States have difficulty getting pregnant or staying pregnant. Both women and men can have problems that cause infertility. About one-third of infertility cases are caused by women’s problems. Another one third of fertility problems are due to the man. The other cases are caused by a mixture of male and female problems or by unknown problems.
Most people have misconceptions about what options you have to help grow your family. Infertility can be treated with medicine, artificial insemination or assisted reproductive technology. Many times these treatments are combined.

Our Laboratory
With our world-class laboratory expertise, we are able to perform state-of-the-art assisted reproductive techniques. Our capabilities include in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), assisted hatching, and cryopreservation of sperm, eggs and embryos. We are able to offer our patients preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD). Our collaboration with outstanding urology services specializing in infertility allow us to offer sperm extraction techniques to male patients when needed.
In Vitro Fertilization
IVF refers to the formation of embryos from sperm and oocytes in the laboratory. Eggs are retrieved after the use of ovarian stimulation medications, and sperm is collected by either ejaculation or aspiration techniques. The sperm is either allowed to fertilize the eggs or is injected into an egg (ICSI). The embryos are cultured for several days and then placed into the uterine cavity. Extra embryos are frozen for future use (cryopreservation).
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
This refers to technique of placing washed sperm into the uterine cavity. IUI is usually performed in combination with the use of ovulation induction or ovarian stimulation medications. It protects the sperm from destruction in the vagina. As a result, there are more sperm available to fertilize each oocyte.

Advanced Reproductive Therapies
We work closely with select donor agencies to coordinate cycles involving ovum (egg) donation and gestational surrogacy. Ovum donation involves harvesting oocytes from a donor chosen by the couple. All retrieved oocytes are fertilized, and the resulting embryos belong to the recipient couple. One or two embryos are transferred to the recipient’s uterus and the remaining embryos are cryopreserved.

Male Fertility
Ovulation Induction
This treatment entails using medication to produce multiple oocytes (eggs) each cycle. The result is to improve your chances of becoming pregnant. Clomid is an oral medication that blocks estrogen receptors and results in the production of more FSH in your pituitary. Consequently, more oocytes are produced. The adverse anti-estrogen effects of clomid prevent this drug from being appropriate for all women.
Egg and Sperm Donation
Ovum donation involves harvesting oocytes from a donor chosen by the couple. All retrieved oocytes are fertilized, and the resulting embryos belong to the recipient couple. One or two embryos are transferred to the recipient’s uterus and the remaining embryos are cryoperserved. Cryopreserved embryos can then be utilized in future attempts at pregnancy.
Surrogacy
We work closely with select donor agencies to coordinate cycles involving ovum (egg) donation and gestational surrogacy. Couples may choose gestational surrogacy in situations where the woman can’t or shouldn’t carry a pregnancy in her own uterus. In this case, embryos will be transferred to the uterus of the surrogate.
Reproductive Surgery
Our physician is an expert in reproductive surgery. We perform minimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. We are skilled in tubal reanastamosis and repair of uterine defects. The urologist with whom we collaborate performs both vasectomy reversals as well as testicular biopsy.
Andrology Services
We are licensed to process sperm samples in our facility. Collection facilities are present in our office for patient convenience.
