Dr. Ratcliffe received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Whitworth College in Washington. She subsequently completed a combined degree program at Tufts University, earning both her medical degree and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry. She was the only candidate selected nationwide to enter a prestigious program at the University of California, San Francisco which combined both her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

After completing this rigorous academic pedigree, Dr Ratcliffe founded Advanced Fertility Associates Medical Group in August 2002. Dr. Ratcliffe is Board Certified in both Obstetrics/Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She is a Fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) and is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE).
Dr. Ratcliffe approaches each couple individually and utilizes her extensive research background to develop an individualized treatment plan. Dr. Ratcliffe has the unique experience of directing both the clinical and laboratory components at AFAMG. As a result, she continues to obtain superb success rates in advanced reproductive techniques. In addition, Dr. Ratcliffe has an interest in the effects of lifestyle and stress on fertility treatment.
Jana Hajnovicova, MS, ELD

Jana Hajnovicova holds a master’s degree from the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Comenius University in molecular biology and genetics. Jana is a board-certified Embryology Laboratory Director (ABB), Technical supervisor (ABB), Reproductive laboratory inspector (CAP), and a member of the American Board of Bioanalysts, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, and the European Society of Human Reproduction. After nine years of international experience directing advanced reproductive technologies. She joined AFAMG in 2003.

Jana performs and monitors all lab procedures at AFAMG. Jana is extraordinarily skilled in all aspects of ART including oocyte and embryo culture, cryopreservation, intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), testicular biopsy and preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD). In addition, she maintains all records and compliance with certifying organizations such as CAP, SART, FDA, CA Tissue Bank and is experienced in laboratory set-up and management. We are proud to report that our IVF laboratory received outstanding rating with no deficiencies on the CAP site inspections which represents unparalleled quality that our lab offers.
